【Abstract】 Objective To study the influence of norcantharidin on invasion of GBC-SD cell lines in human gallbladder carcinoma.Methods GBC-SD cell lines in human gallbladder carcinoma were cultured by cell culture technique.The Matrigel experiment and the crossing-river test were used to examine the inhibitory effect

of norcanˉtharidin on invasion of GBC-SD cells.Results The Matrigel experiment showed that norcantharidin  began to inhibit the invasion of GBC-SD cells at the concentration of5μg/ml.At40μg/ml of norcantharidin，the invasive action of GBC-SD cells was inhibited completely.Its effect was dose-dependent.The crossing-r

iver test indicated time of the crossing-river of GBC-SD cells treated with norcantharidin（40μg/ml）for72hours became long significantly.Conclusion Norcantharidin can inhibit the invasive capability of GBC-SD cells of human gallbladder carcinoma at a lower dose;its inhibitory effect was in a dose and time-dependent m

anner.The mechanism might correlate with diˉrective inhibition of GBC-SD cell movement.
